Volunteer Service Grants

Be sure that your employer knows you are a valued volunteer with Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region. Many corporations base their corporate charitable giving on the interests and involvement of their employees.

Some employers, including Wachovia and Bank of America, offer volunteer service grants as a financial incentive for employees to volunteer with nonprofit organizations. Often the grants are in the form of gift levels based on the number of hours volunteered during a specific time period; for instance, for every 24 hours you volunteer with Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region, your employer will make a $100 grant to us. In most programs, employees complete a form, which the employee or company submits to the non-profit organization to verify.

If your company does not currently match employee volunteer service hours, ask it to do so.
