Dr. Robert Smith, Medical Director

Dr. Smith earned a B.A. in Business from Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, PA, followed by earning a Masters in Business Administration at the University of Pittsburgh, Katz Graduate School of Business.  He earned his M.D. at the University of Pittsburgh and completed his residency at North East Medical Center in Concord, NC.  Dr. Smith is board certified in Family Medicine and Hospice & Palliative Medicine.  He was formerly the Associate Medical Director for Vista Care Hospice in Savannah, GA.  Dr. Smith is currently the Medical Director for HPCCR and has been with the organization since August 2004.

Dr. Priti Bhagia

Dr. Bhagia earned her M.D. at the M.G.M. Medical College in Indore, India, her MRCP-I at the Royal College of Physicians in London, UK, and her Diploma in Child Health at the Royal College of Physicians in London, UK. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Post-Acute and Long-Term Medicine. She completed her residency at the Mercy Catholic Medical Center, affiliated to Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Bhagia has been with HPCCR since 2016.

Dr. John (Chip) Clark, Jr.

Dr. Clark earned his B.S. from Davidson College and his M.D. from Vanderbilt University.  He completed his internship at Vanderbilt University Hospital and his residencies at Vanderbilt University Hospital and Cincinnati General Hospital.  He is board certified in Internal and Emergency Medicine and has most recently worked as an attending physician in the Presbyterian Hospital Emergency Room in Charlotte.  Dr. Clark joined HPCCR in 2015.

Dr. Janet Crook

Dr. Crook received her B.A from Wake Forest University where she graduated summa cum laude.  She earned her M.D. from the University of Virginia School of Medicine.  Dr. Crook completed her residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte and is board certified in Family Medicine & Palliative Medicine.  She joined HPCCR in 2005 and was the Medical Director for Levine & Dickson Hospice House - Huntersville.  After a brief hiatus, Dr. Crook returned in 2015 to work part time.  

Dr. Christen (Chrissie) Fisher

Dr. Fisher earned her B.S. in Biology from Wake Forest University and her M.D. from Wake Forest School of Medicine.  She completed her residency in the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center Emergency Medicine Residency training program as an intern and is board certified in Emergency Medicine.  She joined HPCCR in 2016. 

Dr. Deidra Gatlin

Dr. Gatlin earned her B.S. in Biology from East Carolina University and her M.D. from East Carolina School of Medicine.  She completed her residency at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL.  She is board certified in Family Practice and has worked in various clincics in North Carolina for the past three years.  Dr. Gatlin joined HPCCR in 2013.

Dr. Catherine (Erin) Carnes

Dr. Carnes earned her B.S. at Wofford College and earned her M.D. at The University of South Carolina School of Medicine.  She completed her residency at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.  She is certified in Emergency Medicine and has been with HPCCR since 2013.

Dr. Mrinalini Joshi

Dr. Joshi earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Grant Medical College, University of Mumbai in India.  She completed her internship in India and her residency at the University of Iowa. She is certified in both Hospice and Palliative Medicine and Family Medicine.  Along with working with HPCCR, Dr. Joshi is a clinical instructor of Palliative Medicine at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC.  

Dr. Prashanth Jayaram Kamath

Dr. Kamath earned his B.S. at the University of South Carolina and his M.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, South Carolina. He completed his residency in the Internal Medicine Department at the University of South Carolina at Greenville Health System.  Dr. Kamath has been with HPCCR since 2018.

Dr. Lana Reimann

Dr. Reimann earned her B.A. from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York, her MPH at the University of North Carolina School of Public Health, and her M.D. at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. She completed her residency at the MAHEC Family Practice Residency Program in Asheville, North Carolina.  Dr. Reimann had been with HPCCR from 2005-2009 and rejoined the team in 2017.

Dr. Patricia Sadler

Dr. Sadler earned her B.A. from Vanderbilt University in Nashville and her M.D. at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she also completed her residency.  She is certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice & Palliative Medicine.  She has served as the medical director of Hospice of Laurens County since 1988.

Dr. Thomas Trautmann

Dr. Trautmann earned his B.A. from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH and his M.D. at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical Center and his residency in Radiation Oncology at Wake Forest University.  Dr. Trautmann has been with HPCCR since 2017.

Dr. Bill Williams

Dr. Williams earned his B.S. from Davidson College and his M.D. from the Baylor College of Medicine.  Dr. Williams completed his internship and residency at Baylor College of Medicine-affiliated hospitals.  He was a founding partner of the Davidson Clinic and was the first Chief Medical Officer for Carolinas HealthCare System.  He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.  Dr. Williams joined HPCCR in 2011.
