    ELIZABETH AGIRI, NP-C, ACHPN

    Elizabeth has been a nurse practitioner for 5 years. She began her nursing career in 2007 as a nursing assistant. She graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2010. In 2016, she obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University with a focus on adult and geriatric population. She has worked as a nurse practitioner in geriatrics, primary, and acute care settings and now currently works as a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner. She is certified as an advanced hospice and palliative care nurse. Elizabeth truly enjoys helping patients and their families with the advance care planning process and chronic disease management.

    KRISTEN BARNETTE, NP

    Kristen attended Winston Salem State University in Winston Salem, NC where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and minor in Psychology in 2007. She began her career as a Neurosurgical nurse at Carolinas Medical Center. While working at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, she was immersed into education, holistic interventions, and the palliative approach to medicine. She completed her Master of Science in Advanced Practice Nursing from the University of Cincinnati in 2013.  She is a Board Certified Adult Gerontological Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. As a member of The Junior Urban League of the Central Carolinas, she strives to continually serve her community. She has a wonderful family and religious foundation that continually supports and encourages her gift to give of herself honestly, wholeheartedly, and fervently. 

    CAREY CARRASQUILLO, NP

    Carey attended UNC Charlotte where she studied nursing. She later obtained her Masters degree at Samford University, located in Birmingham, Alabama. Carey has worked as a nurse in cardiology and as a family nurse practitioner in both primary care and palliative medicine.

    ANTONIA CORRIGAN MSN, ANP-C, ACHPN

    Antonia graduated from MUSC, with a background in Oncology and End of Life Care She is an ELNEC (End of Life Nursing Education Consortium) certified trainer. I am a Hospice Nurse Practitioner with palliative medicine experience.

    MARIANNE HAYES, FNP-C

    Marianne is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University School of Nursing, and has over 15 years of nursing experience. She's worked as a Palliative Nurse Practitioner since 2020. Prior to that, she worked in the areas of Cardiology, Primary Care, Geriatrics, and Sickle Cell Disease. She is a natural caregiver and passionate about helping others. Her focus is ensuring that seniors and vulnerable populations have a voice and feel empowered to take control of their health. As a Charlotte, NC native, she is able to connect with the community on a special level. She carries her values and knowledge with each patient she interacts with. Outside of work, Marianne enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, working in her garden, and community service. 

    TIFFANY JACKSON, DNP, NP-C, ACHPN (PRN)

    Tiffany is a nurse practitioner board certified in family health, hospice, and palliative care. She received her BSN from Waynesburg College, MSN from Duquesne University (Pittsburgh), and DNP from Chatham University (Pittsburgh). Tiffany has specialized in hospice and palliative medicine since 2012. Her RN experience previous to becoming a nurse practitioner includes critical care, surgical trauma, and flight nursing. She is a member of the Hospice and Palliative Care Nurses Association and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is also faculty at Chamberlain College of Nursing where she has been a professor in the family nurse practitioner program since 2015. She resides in Clover, SC. 

    CYNTHIA LEE, FNP-C

    Cynthia has worked in Hospice care for 15 years. She attended Winston-Salem State University where she earned her MSN. She has a FNP certification and is board certified. She resides in Mooresville, NC and is married with two children.

    KARIN REED, DNP, NP-C

    Karin is a family nurse practitioner who currently serves palliative medicine patients in the Charlotte area. Formerly an ICU and critical care nurse, Karin went on to obtain both her Masters and Doctorate degrees in nursing from Frontier Nursing University. The focus of her doctoral capstone project was palliative medicine in the fragility fracture population. In her free time, Karin enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and writing.

    STACI SHAFER, FNP-c, ACHPN

    Staci has been in nursing for almost thirty years, sixteen of which have been in hospice and palliative care.  Over the past eight years, she has worked as a Nurse Practitioner in the primary care and hospice care settings. She is certified as an Advanced Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse.  She resides in Hickory, NC. 

    STEPHANIE WEATHERLY NP, ACHPN

    Stephanie has worked with HPCCR for the past 5 years with previous experience providing geriatric primary care. A Charlotte native, she returned to the area after completing her Master’s Degree in Nursing from East Carolina University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, two children, and their two dogs, Maggie and Chico. Stephanie has a passion for educating patients and their families on disease management and end of life care.

    ALISON HARRISON, DNP, NP-C, ACHPN

    Alison is a board-certified adult and geriatric nurse practitioner who has specialized in hospice and palliative medicine since 2011. She received her BSN from the University of Iowa College of Nursing and her MSN and DNP from Duke University School of Nursing. Prior to specializing in hospice and palliative care, Alison’s nursing experience was in intensive care and geriatric primary care. She is an active member of the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association as well as the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Alison is very passionate about providing evidence-based care to her patients, and working with patients and families to ensure that they feel supported and valued. Outside of work, she loves to run, play the piano, and spend time with her husband and four children.

    McKenzie received her BSN and MSN-FNP from Gardner-Webb University.  Her background is in long term care where she worked very closely with palliative and hospice care services, for which she is very passionate about.  McKenzie’s RN experience before becoming a Nurse Practitioner includes critical care, orthopedics, pre-operative and post-operative care.  She is a member of HPNA and resides in Bessemer City, NC.
