Dr. Fox received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She then earned her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. She went on to complete an Internal Medicine Residency at Summa Health System in Akron, Ohio. Dr. Fox is board certified in Internal Medicine. Following completion of her residency, Dr. Fox practiced in the hospital setting as a hospitalist and as an intensivist. It was there that she found her true passion and desire for hospice and end of life care. During her 14 years of hospital practice, Dr. Fox held several director and leadership positions, as well as was nominated and received several awards and accolades. Dr. Fox joined HPCCR in 2019 and was granted the Hospice Medical Director Certified credential by the Hospice Medical Director Certification Board in 2021 in recognition of her commitment to improving the quality of life by displaying professional competency in the hospice industry.
Dr. Fox has called the Charlotte region home with her husband and two daughters, since 2010. When not working, Dr. Fox enjoys spending time with her family, downhill skiing, and running. She has successfully completed several marathons.
dr. john (chip) clark, jr.
Dr. Clark earned his B.S. from Davidson College and his M.D. from Vanderbilt University. He completed his internship at Vanderbilt University Hospital and his residencies at Vanderbilt University Hospital and Cincinnati General Hospital. He is board certified in Internal and Emergency Medicine and has most recently worked as an attending physician in the Presbyterian Hospital Emergency Room in Charlotte. Dr. Clark joined HPCCR in 2015.
dr. janet crook
Dr. Crook received her B.A from Wake Forest University where she graduated summa cum laude. She earned her M.D. from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Dr. Crook completed her residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte and is board certified in Family Medicine & Palliative Medicine. She joined HPCCR in 2005 and was the Medical Director for Levine & Dickson Hospice House - Huntersville. After a brief hiatus, Dr. Crook returned in 2015 to work part time.
dr. christen (chrissie) fisher
Dr. Fisher earned her B.S. in Biology from Wake Forest University and her M.D. from Wake Forest School of Medicine. She completed her residency in the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center Emergency Medicine Residency training program as an intern and is board certified in Emergency Medicine. She joined HPCCR in 2016.
dr. mrinalini joshi
Dr. Joshi earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Grant Medical College, University of Mumbai in India. She completed her internship in India and her residency at the University of Iowa. She is certified in both Hospice and Palliative Medicine and Family Medicine.
dr. prashanth jayaram kamath
Dr. Kamath earned his B.S. at the University of South Carolina and his M.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, South Carolina. He completed his residency in the Internal Medicine Department at the University of South Carolina at Greenville Health System. Dr. Kamath has been with HPCCR since 2018.
dr. charlene knight
Dr. Knight received her nursing degree from Queens College and Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in Charlotte, N.C. She then studied further at the University of North Carolina Charlotte in preparation for medical school. Dr. Knight earned her medical degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical center. She is board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Knight joined HPCCR in 2021.
dr. patricia sadler
Dr. Sadler earned her B.A. from Vanderbilt University in Nashville and her M.D. at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she also completed her residency. She is certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice & Palliative Medicine. She has served as the medical director of Hospice of Laurens County since 1988.
dr. ronak shah
Dr. Shah received his B.S. from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He earned his medical degree from the Medical University of Lublin, Poland. He completed his Family Medicine residency with St. Joseph’s Healthcare System in Patterson, New Jersey. Dr. Shah completed his Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. He is board certified in Family Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Dr. Shah joined HPCCR in 2019.
dr. robert smith, md, mba
Dr. Smith earned a B.A. in Business from Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, PA, followed by earning a Masters in Business Administration at the University of Pittsburgh, Katz Graduate School of Business. He earned his medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh and completed his residency at North East Medical Center in Concord, NC. Dr. Smith is board certified in Family Medicine and Hospice & Palliative Medicine. He was formerly the Associate Medical Director for Vista Care Hospice in Savannah, GA. Dr. Smith is currently the Medical Director for Hospice of Cleveland County and has been with the organization since August 2004.
dr. thomas trautmann
Dr. Trautmann earned his B.A. from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH and his M.D. at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical Center and his residency in Radiation Oncology at Wake Forest University. Dr. Trautmann has been with HPCCR since 2017.
