Earlier this month HPCCR bid farewell to one of its dedicated volunteers, Henry “Hank” Federal. A long-time Charlotte native, Hank was known by many and loved by all. He served on HPCCR’s Board of Directors from 1988 to 1994, including 2 years as its chairman. While his formal service to the organization ended in the mid-1990’s, Hank’s appreciation for what HPCCR means to the broader Charlotte community never waned. A volunteer, a leader, a donor, an advocate for compassionate and competent care – Hank’s observable and time-tested belief in HPCCR’s mission anchors our memory of him. He is survived by a loving family and countless friends whose lives were enriched by the constancy of his love and friendship.
